switchThere are a number of reasons why people switch their waste management providers. High cost, lack of good customer service and buyers remorse (just to name a few.) If your thinking of switching, consider these helpful tips:

Tip 1: Research local companies in the area – Take the time to search out companies in your area that fit your needs. From cost estimates to services and everything in-between, you should feel comfortable that when you make your switch it’s for the better.

IMPORTANT: Make sure they are local. Don’t waste your time dealing with the “One-sizes-fits-all” big companies. Many of them aren’t based locally and contract out the work, which can result in a lack of good customer service and response time. Get a verbal confirmation that they are based in your area.

Tip 2: Look for the differences – Whether it’s low costs or the service offerings it’s your job to compare and contrast. “They all look the same to me” is not acceptable. Check out testimonials from past clients, read reviews and determine the best fit.

Whether it’s pricing, expertise, or service no two companies are the same.

Tip 3: Stop the frustration, act now – Chances are if your looking to switch you’ve probably been through high prices, hidden fees, poor service and long term contracts. If this sound familiar, stop the cycle. Get on the phone with your provider and address your issues.

You’ll be much happier when you do and remember if they try and list off all the reasons or penalties for breaking your contract, then that is a SURE sign it’s time to move on.

Good luck.
